How to buy the right horse for YOU.

Designed to give horse buyers the tools necessary to find and purchase the horse that meets their unique needs, this workshop will feature discussions with TBHL partners who have combined 60 plus years of working with draft animal power in New England forests and fields. The business currently owns 5 working drafts with a foal on the way, giving participants the chance to see a variety of ages, genders, sizes, and mental temperaments. Other local draft horses may also be included. Topics covered will include horses' physical traits, temperament, private sale vs auction, determining true value in the marketplace, trailering home, early care and transition with other horses and animals, the first work day with a new horse, and more. This primer will send participants away with the beginnings of a tool set to make successful horse purchases here in New England. Cost is $100 with limited spaces available
